Our Team - ROSARIO-CHAVES

Augusto José Rosario-Chaves, born in San Juan, Puerto Rico, received his Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management from the University of Puerto Rico, obtaining a double major in Accounting and Computer Systems Management and Analysis.  He later received his Juris Doctor Degree from Inter American University’s Law School in San Juan, Puerto Rico.  His law training also includes a stint in the distinguished law school of Complutense University of Madrid (UCM).  After graduation, Rosario-Chaves began a fruitful corporate law practice that enabled him to provide services to blue-chip clients and develop a well rounded civil practice that includes but is not limited to family, property, torts and corporate law.  His practice involves both, the private and public sectors.

Rosario-Chaves is admitted to practice before the Courts of the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, the U.S. District Court for the District of Puerto Rico and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the First Circuit.  He is also a Civil Law Notary Public.

José Francisco Chaves-Caraballo, admitted to the legal profession in 1985.  He began his experience as a lawyer in the labor division Fiddler, González and Rodríguez, initially as legal assistant then as a lawyer.  From 1986 to present he was a partner of the firm Figueroa Morales & Chaves Caraballo, then Chaves Caraballo Law Offices, P.S.C.  During these twenty-six (26) years it has been devoted to civil and commercial litigation, corporate and labor and commercial advice and notary.  He is a member of the Bar Association of Puerto Rico, American Bar Association, Federal Bar Association, Mortgage Bankers Association, Association of Notaries of Puerto Rico Chamber of Commerce of Puerto Rico, among others.
